International Conference on Machine Learning, ICML, is not just about expert researchers and scholars in the field of machine learning. It is also about young entrants – students – to the field, who would benefit immensely by interacting with the stalwarts.
As a sponsored student you have to create a poster – complete with graphs, supporting data, tables and images – for your research. In the poster session, your poster will be viewed by other participants and you get the unique opportunity of introduction to the established researchers.
Here are the details of two scholarship programs available for ICML 2010.
Student Travel Scholarship Program
To encourage more and more students to participate in the conference, ICML 2010 is providing scholarships to select students. The scholarships will subsidize travel, conference registration, and housing expenses for the students.
Any US or international student pursuing Computer Science or Machine Learning as a field of study is eligible to apply. It is not necessary that you should have an accepted paper at the conference or one of the workshops.

Google Diversity Grant for Women
Continuing its tradition of encouraging women to excel in computing and technology, Google will select two candidates for grant. The grant will cover registration fees and up to 300 Euros for travel costs.
Any female student studying or working in Computer Science or machine learning, attending at least two full days of the conference, is eligible to apply. You should also have a strong academic background as well as demonstrated leadership ability.
